Office 365, a collection of Microsoft’s collaborative applications, is available at no cost to all University of Montevallo students, faculty and staff. All these tools are accessible via downloadable applications on computers and on mobile devices.

Office Apps

To access your Office account:

  1. Go to office.com
  2. Enter your UM email address and password username@montevallo.edu or username@forum.montevallo.edu.
  3. Once logged in, click “Install Office” on the top right
  4. Run the office 365 installer.

Those downloaded applications are listed below.

 Access

Create a database, add tables, use relationships, add and edit data, manage data with queries, and create forms and reports.

Excel

Discover and connect to data, model and analyze it, and visualize insights.

OneDrive

Store, access, and share your files in one place.

OneNote

Capture and organize your notes across all your devices.

Outlook

Business-class email through a rich and familiar Outlook experience.

Publisher

Design calendars, greeting cards, labels, newsletters, and marketing materials with pre-designed templates.

PowerPoint

Design professional presentations

Skype for Business

Start making calls and chats, and organizing online meetings.

Teams

Set up, customize, and collaborate in teams and channels, work with posts and messages, and start chats, calls, and meetings.

Word

Bring out your best writing.

Available Office 365 Apps

Also available are web-based version of several applications.  Access to these applications do require an internet connection. Those app can be found below.

Tasks Create and manage tasks in Outlook

Teams Set up, customize, and collaborate in teams and channels, work with posts and messages, and start chats, calls, and meetings.
