Our Mission

The mission of the Grainger Center for Professional Development in the Stephens College of Business is to assist students in the transition from academics to the business community. The Center seeks to develop students’ professional skills and connect businesses with prospective students.

The Grainger Center serves as:

A liaison between College of Business students and area professionals for opportunities such as:

• internships
• business mentors for students
• job placements

A resource for the development of key professional skills including:

• developing resumes
• conducting successful job searches
• networking
• social network auditing
• interviewing
• business etiquette
• professional demeanor

A contact point linking members of the business community to business students by:

• inviting industry representatives to campus
• providing interns
• providing employees
